Want to call BS on guy and need help.

Ok so a guy i work with says that a year ago he went to vegas and rented a ferrari F430. But heres the catch he says it had the 612 engine in it. As he saying this in my head im screaming BULL SH*& but i just nodded and smiled. So was there ever a F430 ever made with the 612 engine in it? And any info on it would be much appreciated if it does indeed exist.

Yeah, there arent any places in Vegas that rent 430s, and I do believe it is physically impossible to fit the 612's engine into it.

I was thinking that as soon as he said 430 i was like no way you rented a 430 with the wait list on it, Secondly i would highly doubt that a 612 engine would even fit in a 430 engine bay but i wasn't sure.

you sure that he didn't mean that he rented a 360 with a 430 body and a 612 engine. This dude is lying to you, however is it really worth it as he is going to tell you that he really did and that you don't know what you are talking about etc etc. Just let it go! Knowing that this guy is a tool is enough, isn't it?

I was at this party back when I was about 19, and this rummy starts telling us how a Z-28 has the motor installed upside down. Three of the guys standing there were just sucking it all up. Gotta know when to walk away.

The best way to deal with him is to wait till hes with your normal group of co workers, and ask him for the name and number of the place he rented it from, or what street its on, whereabouts etc.... Tell him your thinking of going to LV on vacation and would like to rent a car like that. Ask him if he has any pictures of it. Let him dig his own hole.

 

Why would you even want a 612 engine in a F430 in the first place, is there any advantage at all. Respond by telling the guy he should have rented an Enzo, F50, F40, and see what he says. You must make him feel really bad first for lying to you, ask him for pics of his car, ask him where he got it, how fast he went, etc etc. Bring him down really low then call BS.

 

Play along. Just ask him as many questions as you can. Coupe vs spider,... 6 speed vs F1,... ext color,.... interior color,... carbon fiber,... and then tell him how you'd love to see a pic.

And then every day in front of others, ask to see the pics again...

He'll explode sooner or later.

 

There is no use arguing with that type of person, I know the type very well, and its just better to let them gom on and on with thier stupid BS, and just let it go in one ear and out the other...

 

haha, yes, its quite amusing. I had a classmate a few months ago telling me about how his dad rented a dark green Enzo for a week. I laughed so hard, and told him to show me a picture of it.

The funny thing is, the other month I saw a thread entitled "Green Enzo???" or something like that, and for a fleeting moment I was afraid I needed to owe this kid a huge apology. Then I realized:

1) It was a photoshop
and
2) He couldn't rent an Enzo anyways.

my understanding is that they will replace the 430 with a 10 cylinder.
