OK guys, have a problem and wanted some help/advice. Recently purchased a 2003 360 and I absolutely love it! Yes I have the F bug with the famous grin. However my car is a stick not the F1 and the clutch is srcrewing up my knee. I was born with a deformity, a club foot with a twisted knee. Had lots of operations when I was a kid and everything has been fine. Heck my first 5 cars were all manual tranny's and had no problems with my leg. I know the muscles in my knee need to get in shape however the pedals are so close together it makes my knee twist when I press the clutch. The pain is getting worse and know I have to make a desicion; keep my car and look at it in the garage, trade it to a dealer or maybe find someone who wants a manual 360(that has an F1).
I thought when I got my insurance quote ($85 month) I was feeling old. This knee problem makes me feel old and I'm not even 40! OK guys let me hear it, please be kind as I already feel like a dumb a**.

Have you tried getting one of those knee wraps which runners use to apply compression? Give that a shot and see if it helps. Should be able to get one from a pharmacy.

Consequently, join a gym, and concentrate on muscling up your legs.

    Can imagine your pain. Ouch.

Definitely go with an F1 360. Even if you work on strenghening the muscle, the fact that the pedals are so close to each other sound like will still be an issue. I never wanted an F1 but all it took was to try it once and now I will only buy an F1. Go to a dealer that has a good F1 car and try it... then trade yours.

    Best of luck.

Thanks guys, and yes I have a knee wrap. Had to go through 6 different ones to find one that really worked. When I get my F1 it still won't be the same, you will always remember your first. Also getting cortizone in my knee tomorow, might be driving my 360 for a while, glad I got the battery charge kit.
Heck I've bought so many things for car to make it mine, it kills me not to drive it or let it go. Just ranting a little, for members who read this, a big thanks!

I think you are making a good decision. It if hurts to drive your 6spd, go get one that won't hurt. Simple as that. Easiest and least costly thing to do is sell your car privately, at the same time start searching for a suitable F1 car.

Shouldn't have any problems getting it off your hands since 3 pedal cars are in high demand.

From everything I've read here, that would seem to be the case. Good luck, and I'll bet you don't have too much trouble getting a fair price.

Want to thank everyone for their comments and advice. I found a '07 F430 same color as my 360, its having PPI tomorrow morning. If everything goes well I'll welcome it to the family.
Yes it is a F1, so no more pain!! Again, thanks for all the help, I hope to return the favor.

You'll find the 430 F1 to be very impressive to drive.

Good luck in getting a car that suits you!

The F1 will be perfect for you. Not only that, I think it's more fun than a stick anyway. (don't tell the guys here I said that.)

Hey guys, I appreciate all the comments. My '07 f430 should be here late next week. I don't think trading my 360 for a mondial sounds too good. However I love the the '80s! I almost thought about getting a 512 testy, but I don't want to move to Miami.

I'm sure you'll love the F430. The improvement front the 360 was pretty big, especially regarding the F1 transmission.
Don't forget to post pictures when it arrives.
