My Mohawk has a 4.5" specification as many do. I installed on 4 as I will never get near the 7000 pound max load. Most 2 posts do not require 6"
Code? Code varies in every town around the world and never did I heard of a town having a code on a concrete thickness for a lift. Frankly, why would they take that responsibility from the manufactures. Here is the spec from Mohawk.
