That’s a lesson I am slow to learn... if I just worked more and paid people to do things I would be way better off...

The problem is ...there are so few that do the right thing and care as much as us ...

DIY guys tend to fix everything. We dive off the while-you-are-in-there cliff head first... I did way more than a major...

But still, these projects start out with rapid progress and slowly decay to a molasses tempo that lasts a year...

If you are single with no kids, it’s totally doable. Add a wife, takes 3 times longer. Then goes exponential based on the number of children you have...

My Mohawk has a 4.5" specification as many do. I installed on 4 as I will never get near the 7000 pound max load. Most 2 posts do not require 6"

Wrong. 6 inch is the minimum requirement for a 2 post lift. That's by code. Not manufacturer.

Code? Code varies in every town around the world and never did I heard of a town having a code on a concrete thickness for a lift. Frankly, why would they take that responsibility from the manufactures.

Here is the spec from Mohawk.

This is so true. I enjoy working on cars that are not DD. I never was a mechanic for a living, so special things are different!
