This is a Power Craft exhaust, never heard of it before, but absolutely incredible. I searched the forum but couldn't find a reference. Only problem is I looked at the price and it is not cheap, seems to be around USD$8000(can this be right??). There is alsoa cool vid with a lambo and a 360. Haven't listened to the 430 vid yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydwKy_2-WbI&feature=player_embedded#!
At that price it'd probably be inconel or ti. It's from Japan so its not going to be cheap. I like how its sharp pitched. Reminds me of my headers plus test pipes and twin sound muffler. Very very sharp. If this system shown is muffler only, then I'd say it's fantastic. But if it involves test pipes, then I'm not impressed. Any other system can achieve this pitch.
Don't quote me but the design is kinda similar to Kreisseig, especially for the Scuderia muffler http://www.power-craft.jp/base1111111.html
Found more Youtube clips from the main site. Big question would be whether the videos were made with a system with stock exhaust manifolds and catalysts. Important questions over here.
All I can say is WOW does that 360 sound good. I'm afraid $8,000 is probably going to stand in the way a bit though .
I believe all of them are with test pipes. Especially that 360. On Kriessieg's site they also make mention to achieve the best F1 sound, you have to utilize test pipes. Will see how the RSC Tuning exhaust works out, have heard feedback about cheap welds on the mounting brackets, etc., so will call them tomorrow to see if they have addressed this. If not might try Fabspeed's X-pipe. Kriessieg's Scuderia muffler sounds good, but it's also extremely heavy, and I am not a fan of the big aluminum heat shield or cover over the pipes.
http://www.power-craft.jp/base1111110.html If you look at the videos here, under SPEC: ・Hybrid Exhaust System ・Racing Straight Catalyzer Looks like you need test pipes to get the same sound in the videos. That would activate a CEL wouldnt it?
I am slightly obessive when it comes to Ferrari Aftermarket Exhaust clips, I have video clips of Kresseig, Powercraft, Capristo Stage 3, Straight Pipes, Tubi, Challange, etc that I have recorded in real life and found on the internet. Decent video of a Powercraft equipped 360 going down the street. That doesnt sound that much different or loud than my 12 yr old Tubi with test pipes or even a Timate
No. I have test pipes with a Tubi and O2 extender arms fix the CEL issue. Note though that I had to angle the bank 2 (driver side) O2 extender out from noon position to 10'oclock position whan facing the rear of the car so it was a little away from the pipe in order to really get ride of the otherwise inconsistent CEL. My O2 extenders (and test pipes) are from Fabspeed. They were only $50 each. Alternatively, you could have a couple grand ECU reflash that can take care of the CEL issue from test pipes. Now, headers, AFAIK, are another issue and I'm not sure how to get rid of the CEL, of if the flash is mandatory to do that. I do not have headers and am not really that interested.
Looked at every video I could find on that system, still just a louder sound of the deep Scuderia factory sound. If you have a better video, I would be interested, but the one's I have heard, I am not impressed.
I think for noise level reductions, most with a 360 will either add headers, or do test pipes, not both. If headers, just utilize sport cats. Wonder which way is louder / higher pitched?: Aftermarket Headers, sport cats, and aftermarket exhaust or Factory Headers, test pipes, and aftermarket exhaust? Nice to hear that there is a CEL fix without resorting to an ECU tune if I ever wanted to go with test pipes.
This is still bar none, if volume is not a concern, the best sounding 360 I have ever heard: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOQFKgvA9AU[/ame]
Juan, I wish I can post the video I sent you! That is what I call F1 sound specially when I kick that California as!! ;-)
Might have something to do with the enclosed environment and the exhaust against the backwall...the resonance adds quite a fair bit of volume.
Still, when I hear some of Fabspeed's videos of for example the decatted Scuderia with their X-pipe, still doesn't get that high pitch sound in their shop. Understand I am comparing Scud to 360.
I'm not entirely sure how different that 360 really sounds than my tubi/test pipe setup because being inside a small room with a concrete wall 2 ft away is going to dramatically amplify and enhance the sound effects. Would be fun to try replicate one day! ETA: I see f430addict beat me to the same comment.
In real life the difference is very striking to say the least. The Tubi is nowhere close to the high Pitch I heard from an MS racing Exhaust and Capristo, also the lingering echo lasted a lot longer on the Capristo and MS than a Tubi.
Thanks guys for posting these videos! Awesome sound and really sounds good with the surround sound on!
Here is the same car from that video accelerating at the track. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UslfktnY0a0&feature=plcp&context=C32bbd53UDOEgsToPDskIp6ikpQETls0nN3OgNBRGH[/ame]
