My company has recently purchased a 1976 308 Dry sump GTB and during transport the books and their wallet went missing. It included the owner's manual, which should be different for a dry sump car, a warranty booklet, and a dealer directory. All of these were housed in the Ferrari leather wallet.
I need two things, Values for an insurance claim, and a source to purchase these items. I have tried all the usual US vendors and only located a dealer directory.

You just lost about $5K, on the regular documents and leather cover, alone....see below..

FerrariLiterature would be your source.....they had a nice complete set of 1976 - 77 308GTB documents on their website.

There's no specific variance of a 'glass car's documentation, it goes by year.
So a set for a "1975 thru 1977" car would be identical.

There IS a difference between North American and Euro versions.
Our cars are the red fronted OM with an American Flag bar across the top.

There's pictures "out there" of what they look like.

That sucks it happened, after all these years of the car keeping them.

Oh, the REAL loss was the Warranty Coupon Book, if it was present, as it is hand signed with original owner info at time of First Sale, and it had the stamps of the dealers that did the periodic warranty work.

That is irreplacable history, and has a value over and above the $5K.....better call it $10K to the carrier's insurance.

See if the driver will **** the books, then!!!!!
    :D :D :D

It was a dry sump Euro?

That would be a plain yellow cover.

I am not sure you are correct, about the dry sump OMs, but I stand by to be wrong!!
    Ask Rifledriver.

Every Ferrari owners manual I have read has an illustration of the lubrication system in it. It also lists fluid capacities. I am reasonably sure they differ from the wet sump cars and I know the lubrication system and even where you add oil are different.
I have never seen an owners manual for a Ventroresina but feel there is a strong chance it is unique.

I think you are both right in a way - pretty sure the yellow book shown is the 116/75 which was a global generic then there was a USA specific manual 127/76 which I think was not yellow and then various different versions thereafter

    Happy to be corrected

Well, as I said I stand to be corrected.

But in the day, they handled a lot of things with inserts...

My 1977 books (yes the cover was red with US Flag as above post) were the 1976 version, with an insert to handle some minor changes (wiring diagram for the added microswitch under the seat)...

The Shop Manual (as you know) remained the engine data for the 308GT4.

    Good luck.
