    Okay - So basically, there's no way at all that the gearbox on ebay came from a 2 pedal 348.

    Sorry, typo on my part. the trans cases for the 348 and the t are NOT the same. So I can't imagine that the ebay 348 trans was some sort of 2-pedal valeo one-off.

    Again, the cases are not the same. Sorry for the confusion (previous typo).

    However, while the trans cases for the Mondial t Valeo and the F355 appear to be very similar the former has a has the starter motor mount flange while some from the F355 do not.

    My research is based on first-hand knowledge of the 348 and tech docs information regarding the Mondial t, Valeo and F355 transmissions cases.
