There was a red 88 with something like 6k original miles that was for sale in Ca a few months ago. I don't think that there is any difference on the 88's as to a Ca or not car. They all have the sealed air boxes, cat convertors, and smog pumps. I don't think there is anything else that you could have. The 88 is a good year, especially if you get the bravo wheels. All of the minor improvements were done on the last year, with a production run of somewhere around 50 or less cars. I watch em all of the time, I will add you with the Carreapers watch for a euro spec. Incidentally the euro one in Ohio is still available (I know, I know!).

would he be able to register a euro in cali ?

if all of the 88's are USA spec with smog, then i think there is an 88 in Florida that is for sale. i will do some checking. . i wont buy a USA spec one, and i will be glad to pass any info on by PM. the only way i can buy any Jalpa right now is if its cheap ! :) ( still have the GTB and the 911 )

I sold both of my Jalpa in 2001, 88 Red/Tan #411 and 87 Black/Red #360. Both registered in www.lamborghiniregistry.com I would like to have one close to last Jalpa #419(Yellow)

Mine is #380. Yellow would be rare. There is a 88 that is silver with a black interior in Texas that I keep looking for.

One of 17 cars ever made, and the only yellow W8 with ostrich interior.

I just looked & saw you had a Pantera. I bought this one about 5 years ago out of Westly Ca. The guy had it in a shipping container. He took it apart in 1975 after driving it 6000 miles, and then never put it back together. It came over on the first shipment of Panteras, and was one of the 5 cars that were put on a tractor trailer and moved from dealership to dealership as a demonstator to get interest up in the Pantera. They are fun cars.

Yup, very fun cars (gotta love that big V8 sound and torque) and relatively inexpensive to maintain +/or mod. That's pretty cool history on your Pantera. Congrats on the find!! Westly is only 50 miles from me!

The guy I got the car from was Butch Gilbert, he has done plenty of vintage racing. He has a Sacrab. He also took apart a 250gte, it's probably still sitting there.
