I have a Grigio/Black GTS which is undergoing an interior restore. I've told the guy to go with the original black, but there's still a couple of weeks before he starts. Anyone have a GTS with something other than black or tan interiors? I'm specifically looking for that dark red/oxblood look, but I'm curious what else is out there. Thanks
Ask me in about 6 weeks and I will have some pics. My Graphite Met car, which is close to Grigio Ferro, will soon have a BMW silver gray leather interior (door panels, seats) with charcoal accent strips on the seats as correct for 1979, with matching silver gray carpet. I think it will look quite good. Rich, yet subtle and not too pimpmobile. I also picked the interior color as something that will go well if I choose to change the exterior color to a medium (not yellow red) red. Doug
Yes, that red interior is blood red and not quite to my taste; I think a dark Burgundy would be OK though. I considered something like that. Doug
I do realise that the following photos are not of a Ferrari. They are, however, very close to the proper color combination. And for what it's worth, Tillman, a dark red/ox blood gets my vote. I think it would look fabulous... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The dark one was a standard color which looks great combined with black carpet - incredibly I cannot find a single picture of it on this site !
No, it isn't my e-type. I'm looking for one, and found that that thing for sale around the corner. I hope the guy doesn't mind that I pnched the photos from his ad...
" I'm looking for one, and found that that thing for sale around the corner." Don't buy that one - 2+2s E types are a good way to buy a car that will be worth immediately less than you paid for it. I've personally been through that particular "mistake." Hate that red in the Ferrari though the darker version looks OK in the jag.
Check out these pics of formerly my 1993 Mondial t Cab - Metacllic Grigio code 700 and dark red leather. Car just recently sold to an FChatter south of here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190344212919
In pictures, I think lighting has a lot to do with how red they look.
