All it does is turn an image that you supply into a series of individual spots, like newspapers do, then it expands the image up to 20 meters, and turns it all into a .pdf file that can be printed on 8 1/2 X 11. You then put the individual sheets together to create the image. The biggest problem is that for something poster size you lose all the detail, but for something wall sized it might look okay. The nice thing is you can try it for only the cost of ink and paper.

My CNC plasma torch is almost up, and one item I have in mind to make is an almost full-sized Ferrari F1 race car profile done on a 4ft x 8ft sheet of steel.
I'd like to cut the major lines with the plasma torch, then hand-paint in the rest of the mural with enamels a lot like an illustration. Probably not quite what you have in mind, but it will look really good on my garage wall.

Is that type of mural appealing to anyone else but me?

My test piece will be 3ft x 2ft of an F40 using the attached illustration. The black lines are the torch toolpaths which need some work in the background since I changed the illustration again, but you get the idea.

I want my Mondial to grow up to be an F40!

Call a billboard company in your area. Usually you can give them a photo and they will make a huge decal that you attach to your garage wall.

Your wall has to be absolutely smooth. You may be able to get them to put it up for you.
