Reproduction units sold by EAR don't work. Bosses are too thin; curves don't align correctly. (Ask me how I know) Looking for used part, passenger side; any color is fine. PM is best. Flaps fail when the cable slips off the pulley and actuation gets out of sync. Thanks!

When we had to drill out the bosses to accept the OEM pin and then when it failed at first accuation. Curves were wrong too. Just a bad repo! Multiple places sell this part online. Don't buy any capote flap that's not OEM unless you have a 100% moneyback guarantee.

Should scan originals and print replicas with. 3d printer.. The abs plastic would give over other components and if it cracks a $5 part would be "oh well"...

But, I only have one busted original (in pieces not glueable to make a whole) and one bad repo. I'd entertain any hobbyist wanting to give this a try. If it goes bad its only a $5 part but a $75 paint job.

If you could get the $5 part to work. You could paint multiples for $75.

Use Q-Bond. Both my capote flaps died in the similiar manner, and I repaired it very easily. Sanded off the rough bits, and just paint matched, resprayed it back and refitted. All up, around $75 for both the glue kit and automotive paint.
