I'd like to purchase a Boxer but I'm not willing to restore a car (been there, done that).

Does anyone know of a great Boxer which is (or may be) for sale which meets the following description:

365 or 512 carb car (no BBi please)
    Silver paint, black lower half
    White parking lights
    Interior (black or burgundy)
Preferably with all tools and books

I know I'm being very particular but I'm going to be selling one hell of a race car to buy the Boxer so it has to be THE car.

Any leads greatly appreciated. I want to join the Boxer club already.

I was following AJ's car but comments and concerns raised in this forum disqualified it. Besides, I really want a carb car.

    Thanks...Keith

I thought about Steve's car but in talking with Steve, it's a project car that I don't want to oversee or finance. Good idea though.

Do you mean white parking lights or turn signal lenses? If you mean the little rectangular lights in the upper part of the nose, then those are only on the BBi not carb cars.

He means the euro spec signal lamps in clear rather than orange like ours.

I mean the large white parking lights on top of the nose (which I believe are also turn indicators). I believe these were correct for Italy but were orange for countries like France and Germany.

I am aware that the little rectangular lights on the upper part of the nose are BB512i components but appreciate the insight and any other specifics you can share.

I've been pouring through electronic copies of the manuals (available on the Ferrari owners website) and various Ferrari books (M. Nichols, J. Thompson, etc.) to get familiar with the differences and nuances.

    Thanks for responding.

    Hi Keith,

I'm in Seattle too and we've met before.

Let me know if I can help out in anyway.

I've had my BBi for about four years.

If you haven't already, subscribe to Ferrari Market Letter. There is lots of good info there, and you can then email them and get the history of any car you are looking at.

Basically, they can provide, by serial number, all of the ads which have been run for that particular serial number, possibly along with other information. It's well worth it. Consider it as sort of an unofficial CarFax for vintage Ferraris.

    Good luck!

I've been a subscriber to the FML for 12 years. I agree, it's a must read. In fact, I've been saving my printed copies for most of that time as well!

    Thanks Don.

May consider a sale at the right price, but car is all silver BBi. Low miles, Cal Bar car. See August Forza 2006.

I think he wants carb only...Don't want to be divisive here, but when those 12 throats open, it's like nothing else....
