I've seen it on sale for quite a few months now I believe....call the company, and get the history for her.

One thing to point out tho, for this price and mileage, the company didn't specify that it just had its recent major done. If the major was recently done, they would have wrote it ALL over in the description.

Anyway, if it turns out that it does need a major, make sure you factor in that price.

    So:

    1) They're asking $47,000 for a 355 that looks OK at best (a little beat up if you ask me).
    2) Most probably its due for a major.
    3) It's got 63,000 miles - which doesn't offend me either, but you need to get the right price for it.

If it was up to me, I'd offer them $37,000 and do the PPI after that. They dont like it? They can wait another few months

    Exactly.....

I don't know what it is - it does look "clean" ....but it just looks like it's been abused.

It appears the photos don't flatter the interior, so maybe ask for better and more. I'm sure the dealer won't mind.
I don't look for perfect, and in fact don't want the pain of watching a perfect car go downhill under my ownership. I want something I can make better.
The price doesn't look unreasonable. But then again, it seems everyone wants to believe values are stable, but want to beat up every seller because the car isn't perfect.
    Just my opinion....
Buy a solid car. Just buy it. Every day you wait, you don't get to enjoy it. Some people shop shop shop shop and never can pull the trigger. Don't obsess over perfect or whether one is closer to perfect than another. Nothing really is perfect. It's all a matter of degree.
Expect to spend some cash on it, maybe a good bit of cash. It's an Italian car, after all. You could buy a Honda for the same money and not worry about it.
A 355 won't suffer hardly any depreciation over the next 10 years, so the improvement and maintenance costs won't really be significant. It'll most likely be around $200/mo average. Less than depreciation on another car.
Find a car in the color you like. SO WHAT if you pay a little more than the next guy? You get to enjoy the car. If you wait for the best deal on the best car in the whole world, then you're not going to reach your goal of ownership. It's about ownership and enjoyment, not the deal.
Call Dave, ask him if he knows the car. Get him to do the major it probably needs. Then drive it like ya stole it! Roll Tide.

Bruce speaks the truth. All of the "issues" can be fixed, and ownership and depreciation will cost less than that of a newer 911.

If you want a black F1, PM DaveRocks. He will sell his for 80k, but it is perfect! ;). It might cost you less in the long run then the one you linked.

(Dave, I haven't forgot about you. I will get the package out later this week.)

No problem jumping on a 355, ask those that know me:),

I just am looking for a coupe that I can drive in the rain and isn't brightly colored like my spider.

I just need that gated shifter though.
