I’m looking at a aftermarket exclusionary warranty through my local Rolls Royce, Mclaren, Bentley dealer. This policy covers everything “except what is excluded” my question is the one notable thing that is excluded from coverage is “All exhaust and emission components “ On a 2018 488 is this a concern or a nothing burger?
    Coverage is 5yr 60k with $500 deductible for $8795

That's extremely cheap. Make sure it's with a reputable warranty company. Otherwise those companies just go busy and you paid 8800 bucks for nothing.

My big question is : are the exhaust and emissions components prone to failure and if so are they very expensive to fix?
The dealership has been in business 100 years selling Roll Royce to McLaren and has very good reputation.

That's insanely cheap. My California was $10577 for 5000 miles and 12 months with $1000 deductible. And it wasn't exclusionary. And that was $3k off the "retail".

What company is it through, you'd be absolutely insane not to take it.

It sounds to me like an Axiom warranty and if so, they are actually a very good warranty for highline/exotics— and as for warranty companies going ‘bust’, that’s not a real worry… doesn’t matter the name on the warranty really as they’re all underwritten by insurance companies (in Florida anyway) like Wells Fargo or safeguard etc…

It’s a company called Sterling sold by Demmitt in St Pete Fl. I would like to compare it to the Axiom you mentioned. Who sells Axiom or where can I get info?

I had axiom available to sell at the last two dealers I worked for… I don’t have them where I’m at now…. I am not sure if they do direct sale or only indirect through dealers. I guess try to google the phone number and call them but other than that, I wouldn’t know how else to purchase from them. All I know is I never had an issue with them refusing to cover something on all the times I sold them that warranty… being in the business, you realize quickly what products/companies work smoothly and which don’t… but never heard a single complaint about Axiom from any customer. Only once on a Mercedes where customer came back in pissed that MB dealer wouldn’t honor it.. but turns out, it was that specific dealer that was just dumb and didn’t want to honor it but Axiom made them do it and covered the repair.
