I'm looking to do the event in November(19th)......I plan on having a good amount of people in my group/team and we'll be doing some themed outfits....
Anyone else here participated in the event before? Been out walking everyday and other stuff to rehab my back from another injury and preparing for the fun.

Just looking for someone else's experience and thought about the day. They put a course layout up for the Central Texas event already. Lots of mud and fun.

I just did the one in Conroe on Sunday. Lots of fun and I didn't puke. I didn't know what to expect, but I had a really good time. The run only took 40 minutes, but then there were bands, food, beer, etc. so we hung around most of the afternoon. I recommend it.

I've done two Tough Mudders...the one this past January outside Austin and this past weeekend in Pennsylvania. They live up to their name as being Tough and from what I hear, are much harder than the Dash. (Not busting on Warrior Dash at all) The Tough Mudders are grueling. Pennsylvania's was their toughest yet. 11 miles on the side of a mountain and 15 times up and down that mountain. Add to that the 45 degree water obstacles, the snow, the mud, and the usual array of obstacles including the fire and electricity, and it takes its toll. But when you see that finish line and you cross it, whether it's your first or fourth Mudder, you feel no pain. (Until the next day...my calves still haven't stopped cramping) I have the season pass so I plan on doing a few more events this year. Plus it's for a great cause...Wounded Warrior Project. I do have to say, it's the most pain I've ever inflicted on myself for a shirt, a headband, and a cold Dos Equis!

Good luck with what you decide. Any other questions, feel free to hit me up.

Nice! Yeah, I'm planning on doing a tough mudder too, as well as the mud run. I have a team of about 30 people now and we're doing it to help raise money too. I'm looking forward to the Dash in November. After that, then I'm going to start doing the other events.
