    started the bidding on an 88 328 gts at $200,000!! lol and kept trying for about a minute. I was dumbfounded. Then they finally went down to 190,180,175,140,120,100, 50 and at 50 they somehow found a couple of bidders. The car was in ok condition. Do not remember the miles. Might have just had a service. Interior showing signs of wearing. Body did appear straight. The bidding finally ended up at $86 grand! and yet even that was a no sale, the car had a reserve! What their reserve was is also mindblowing. I could not believe it. I think thats crazy, but hey its a nice car and all but not up to that level. But maybe you guys with the 328's will start getting some real nice appreciation that you did not really expect?

    Perhaps the seller was just "fishing" the car to see if he could get 360 money for it.

    Have been wondering if the US$ slide will translate into higher prices across the F-car range.
    If the new cars blow out folks may retarget their choices and demand increase 2nd hand values.

    Might all be offset by reduced demand during an economic down-turn. I don't know.
    Will be interesting to see though.

    I do not know if they car sold later on after the block but the guy should of taken the 86 and ran away giddy that he got that lucky.

    Maybe it was Enzo's car and it was not disclosed. You never know, in 2 years we may all say "wow remember when you thought 86 grand was a lot for a 328".

    3X8's are dirt-cheap in the US. Not so strange, most of the produced cars are there, and the average condition not very good. Over here in South Africa they are a sought after and relatively rare commodity, and the auction price is about the going rate for a real good 328.
