My mechanic showed me that the windshield washer reservoir pump/motor is now leaking in my Mondial 3.2 coupe. It looks to me like someone had applied a kind of sealant years ago. But clearly, it's now failing.

It's leaking in two places—one in the motor itself and the other at the connection to the reservoir. It appears that the plastic reservoir is fine, and no cracks. I don't have the skills to repair this and would rather just buy a brand new pump/motor.

I've looked it up on the parts diagram for the 3.2 and though they DO show the pump, it is not listed with a separate part number! Yet if I look up a 328 (same engine), I find it listed with the number 61535400. Interestingly, this same part number is shown to be compatible with multiple Ferraris of that time period including the Mondial "t". But the 3.2 Mondial is conspicuously NOT listed!!

So my first question is: does this part number also apply to the 3.2? Is it the exact same part? I've found it in stock thankfully but I don't want to order it thinking it will fit, only to find that the 3.2 part really is something different.

Only a couple of very old threads turned up here in a search. One person had a motor that was turned 90 degrees to the connection. Mine appears to be different—it's "in-line".

Is there a modern plug-and-play equivalent I can find locally that will work, or is OEM the best choice here? Anyone have insight on this?

I just had the same problem with my F40. There was a leak at the joint between the pump motor and the reservoir. I tried to repair it but it kept dripping. Bought a new OEM one from Superformance in the UK (Part number "Washer Bottle 60375706/A" - complete reservoir and pump together). Eurospares is another place to try, they have a lot of stock for classics.

    Latest Update:
I just spoke to someone at the parts department for a nearby Ferrari dealer. The official answer they gave me is that the reservoir and pump are sold as one "unit", for the 3.2. No idea why the Factory did this for the 3.2 models. Yet they did keep the pump/motor as a separate part on the 328, 348, TR and Mondial t, amongst others of the time period. So the chances of the Mondial "t" pump fitting properly appear slim.
Unfortunately, it appears that the reservoir is now in "unobtainium" status, at least at the vendors I checked so far.

I'm still hoping to find one that is "new" or NOS for a reasonable cost. Part number is:
    60710200 (for non-ABS 3.2 models)
