    So I was checking pricing on an HSM 390.3 shredder, average price was around $1,900 (free shipping), found one for only $1,460, but when I clicked to add to the cart the shipping charges seemed a tad high.

    I'm surprised Amazon lets this happen.

    Yikes. What does this shredder weigh and were is it shipping from? If it's
    a gigantic industrial unit that weighs 300 pounds, coming from China, that's probably
    about right. But I suspect we're talking an office shredder, right?

    ps - I pay for "Prime" and only buy from Prime sellers - I never pay freight at Amazon,
    with very few exceptions where a Prime options is not available and I need the item.

    That's third party, but yes that is outrageous! I was looking at some cheap sofas and shipping alone was a killer. My desk which thankfully shipped free was packaged so terribly, I think that is the only way they got shipping prices down to 0. Took some time to put together too!
