I have a friend who purchased a water damaged 430 and he's having trouble getting a key. Something about Ferrari dealer might resist providing a key due to salvage title. He really wants to make a track car out of it and parts for his other 430. Salvage car only has 3,000 miles and otherwise is in good condition.

Is there anyway to turn the motor over without the key just to see if it will turn over? As far as we know it may even run. Car was treated after flood damage, brackish water, FL car purchased in IL, license plate was SPNOT, we salute veterans tag, Rossa Corsa Tan.

Many questions like how do you get to the rear seat bolt to take the seats out if you cannot move the electric seats forward?

A good locksmith can make you a key from one of the blanks available online. However, without it being able to be programmed, you'll be stuck there. You'll likely want to bypass the immobilizer.

As for the seats, I'm guessing the motors are cooked? If so, they won't come out easy. I'd try de-trimming the seats as much as possible with them in position. You might be able to remove the center insert on the cushions (which is a separate piece) and get access to the slide mechanism. Some motors have an opening on the gear so you can use a tool or driver to do a manual override. Or, you could disconnect them and remove the mechanism altogether.

I’m not sure what you mean by “treated”.

How long has it been since the car has been started? Assuming the battery is ok (and is hooked up to the car) and the cylinders are not full of water, find out if the gearbox is in neutral, then attach a “remote starter switch” to your starter:

(available at your local automotive store)

Put one lead on the big positive terminal of the starter (remove cap) and the other on the small terminal (plug connection). The big positive terminal wire on the starter is shown here, coming from the battery bus bar behind the left hand seat.

Can you access any of the plugs under the seat?

Perhaps @colorfull can help identify the main power plug? (his photo). I assumed the black 3 pin plug was the power plug (because of the wire size), but maybe the wires just look bigger because they are closer.

It does look like this black plug wiring goes to the floor in this photo, but the wire colours look different (at least on the car side of the plug):

Maybe Dominick @flash32 has a wiring diagram for the seats?

Tev360 can illiminate the immobolizer, which he won't need for a track car anyways.

By taking off the seat side panels. Phillips number two on the front, facing the door underneath, and one on the back. Going to need a stubby Phillips, or a mini ratchet Phillips.

Also. My seat motors were frozen due to being underwater a little bit. Took me five hours to figure the first one out, tearing it mostly apart underneath and about 30 minutes on the second one and here’s the how to PDF.

Seats I figured out and posted on ferrari chat. Once you take the trim off the sides of the seats with the two Phillips number two screws; one in the back facing backwards, and one in the front on the door side, then takeoff the number 13 bolt from both sides and the seatbelt bolt, which is a number 17, and then when you remove the torques T 45 bolt on the side of the seat, it allows you to pull the whole seat up about a foot plus in the back allowing you access to the motors and such. I documented this. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jDb9HYuEe3NOmgdRdYHY0mSyY0JSODuk/view?usp=drivesdk
