Well it could be that the water is getting in through the vent duct in the hood. I would pull out the trunk liner and make sure that you don't have water damage in the electrics.

Actually... there are two rubber plugs (about 3" x 5") on the metal floor of the 355 boot. Either crawl under the car and ensure they're still there, or remove the carpeting and look for two gaping holes to the earth below.

348's have them too. I had lost of the plugs and experienced the same problem in my car.

Infact there are also two long gromets near the bottom side that one has access to the steering rack as well. But i cant see missing gromets causing the problem due to there being an undertray/Ground Fx on the 355.
Could you have left anything wet like a cloth in ya boot at all that would cause condensation?? I do know some 360 suffer from damp boots.

Check your heater hoses. Do you see water trails/stains going down your carpet beneath your central air unit?

Even though your HVAC airbox gasket looks OK, it's probably leaking (assuming to wash the car and/or drive it or park it in the rain). Mine was leaking enough to put a pint or two of water in the bonnet area after washing the car or driving in the rain, or even parked in the rain. The way to tell for sure is to pull off the metal frame around the gasket, install a plastic bag at the lower edge, and put the frame back on. If that's your leak, the plastic bag will fill with water.

Only solution is a new gasket. Not that expensive and can be do it yourself. Had mine replaced and problem disappeared.

That's if the water is clear. If it has any antifreeze smell to it, then it's proably your heater valve.

There are drain holes for the bonnet. Make sure they are clear so water can run out if necessary.
