    Hey Gents,

So many victories today but a huge ball buster. I got water dripping out from somewhere at the front of the engine. It runs mostly down the alternator bracket but I did see some water in the middle for a bit like you’d expect from a water pump seal but it stopped there.. then seemed to start coming down the alternator bracket. I was trying to see with a boroscope where it could be coming from. Here’s a pic I got of the top of the timing cover. I imagine if it’s the water pump seal its running to the back of the belt cover then runs down the timing cover. Really kicking myself for not pressure checking everything.. I was so obsessed with oil leaks and the gearbox.

I guess the only input I’m looking for is “yea that’s what water pump leaks look like.. go have a drink”…

I thought it might be leaking out of the alternator bracket studs but this pic makes it look like it is coming out of the belt cover. Maybe I can see more if I take the top covers off.

Um no oil leaks but this blows…

This is how things looked at beginning and end of day yesterday… then among other things today had to cobble up a mechanical gauge to read oil pressure and had one of the fuel pump relays die. Happened to have a spare relay and thread adapters for a mechanical gauge in stock but the water leak is just demoralizing… probably some praying is in order since I’ve seen water pump leaks fix themselves… just this is a brand new pump… and I hadn’t read good things about them…
