I took the water pump pulley off to change my belts. I was surprised at how easy the bolt came off. Does anyone know the torque? Also is there a trick to this? How do you hold the pulley to tighten it? With the belt? If so that does not seem to be too tight before the belt slips on the pulleys.

    Yes, I searched.

    Thanks!

Bolt? Shouldn't it be a nut?
It's next to impossible to apply the proper torque with the pump on the engine. I grip the pulley in my vise with aluminium jaws to torque down the pulley.
Do not grip it on the opposite side (on the impeller nut)

If you have an old belt you can try to wrap it around the pulley, twist and grip it with a big pipe wrench. Acting on it like those belt oil filter wrenches.

They came with a standard nut and a cone lock washer.

I have torqued them in place on the motor so it is possible.

    How did you do it?
It's no standard nut, if standard means regular thread. I just have a pump on my bench and looked once more. It's a metric fine thread M12x1.25

That is standard for a Ferrari.

He said nylock. They did not come that way.
