    my water temp gauge is alternating between reading correct and maximum. where is the sender located? is there a workshop manual somewhere for the 400 engine? english or italian would be fine.

    thx! looks promising. yes i agree, but my idea was to start by removing the wire at the sender and try grounding it and see what happens.

    +1 -- it will also give you a chance to inspect the Sender's wiring in the local area -- like being melted onto an exhaust pipe ;)
