My 2015 Cali T entertainment display w/Car Play died but the radio was still operable. My tech advised that the Car Play module under the carpet on the passenger side failed due to trapped moisture. I have no idea where it came from. I have never left the top down or windows open in the rain. The tech said that the carpet was quite damp. He is troubleshooting possible infiltration routes now so I thought I would quickly put the question to the community to see if others have encountered a similar issue.

Obviously, I am reluctant to incur the very significant expense of replacing the system if it is still in jeopardy. Any ideas? Thank you kindly.

I have not had that problem in my Californias, but the first place to check on most cars is whether some of the drain tubing from the roof or doors is clogged, as the water will back up and eventually find its way down.

Thx for the heads up. Tech confirms that it was an AC drain tube misroute issue. Fixed!
