    Hey,

    I have no idea how the engine suppliers work in Indy car, but if I were running a Lotus lump I'd be major league pissed;

    Is this the same Lotus that's now running F1 with Renault engines?

    Our old buddy Danny Bahar (sp?) still running the show?

    Cheers,
    Ian

    I believe the Lotus-Renault F1 team is owned by Genii, headed by Lopez, with Boullier as team manager. Lotus is more or less the sponsor who lent its name.

    But Lotus Cars, headed by Danny Bahar is behind the Indy engine, just like it participates in Endurance (with a Lola), in GP2, etc...

    Lotus does not have the resources like Chevy and Honda do and they could be playing catch up if they were a late entry. Lotus has been battling engine supply since the season started and hopefully things will change very soon for Indy regarding practice/qualifying and for the race.

    Fingers crossed.

    I believe that Lola entered by Lotus (sounds strange, doesn't it?) in Endurance racing is powered by a V8 Judd engine.

    I think Lotus got involved in badging an Indy engine because it couldn't badge a chassis in the Indy series. Lotus wants to advertise its brand to expand in the US where it sees its main market for the future range of cars Bahar intends to produce.

    Indy engine is also Judd, aka Engine Developments:
