my dear friends, thank you very much for your concern and your show of support, Max, Nancy, myself and John are fine. John is in his house in seaside, Florida. We, along with my brother Giorgio, are in Franklyn, Louisiana I stayed for the Hurricane, at the Windsor Court and it was terrifying. I am delighted to read on fchat that David Goldman and Kelly Vince are ok but I am sad to report that at least 3 ferrari were lost in the storm. Giuseppe Risi has been wonderfull, he suggested to ferrari spa to build a one of a kind 430 spyder to be auctioned off to benefit hurricane relief, John further suggested that we should use the funds to help the new orleans police officers that lost their homes which stayed at their posts despite the terrible situation,( no water or food, no comunications with their superiors,no info about their loved ones, running out of ammo in the midst of a full-out riot).Obviously the french quarter classic will not take place in november, but we are not cancelling it,even though, I was tempted to do so since I have lost my home and all of its contents which will require me to find a new home for my family,(and for Max little ferrari which survived unscated ) we are just going to reschedule it to the first week of march 2006, because the city will need all of the help we can get to be rebuilt and our event has an half of a million dollars inpact in this community, we are hoping to auction off the 430 spyder Katrina then, in front of all of our dear friends and fellow ferraristi in the city that we can barely recognise now but we still love. Franco
Glad to hear that you're ok. Has the Ferrari idea been accepted by spa or is it just an idea now? Any info you're willing to give up about the 3 lost cars?
** Hello Franco, Susie and I have been praying for you and family to be safe and out of harm's way. In the morning I will tell her that you and family are ok. I have a gift for little Maximo. Please send me your mailing address and I will get it in the mail in a day or so. He is so cute in the picture on the front of the Christmas card you sent us last year. This is something he will absolutely love. You might want a larger version of it as well. Send your mailing address to me @ [email protected] Take care ... Jerry & Susie

Howdy Franco, day after day we are getting news from all of you. Cars, houses etc..can be replaced but not your family. Helene and I and also your Colorado friends are happy to hear that your family is safe. The best to you all, let us know what we can do from here. Take care Roland F40LM
Thanks for checking in Franco....and ALWAYS glad the hear good news!!!!! I have spoken with a N.O. policeman as he passed thru, and can vouch for the conditions you cited.......he was wearing his last clean T-shirt. Thankfully, he had ammo and firepower to handle the situation he had to face. Continue to pray for these guys....they are THE BEST! We have lost some of them, in the line of duty. They are our greatest heroes, to me. Alan and Valeria Houston, Texas

Hey guys glad to hear you are all fine, it is very hard to watch all that you have grown up with be destroyed in a days time. Wish you all the best. I will be in Metairie some time in the next couple of weeks to help with the clean up. If anything is needed let me know what I can bring. Wade
So glad to hear that you, your family, John and so many of the wonderful other folks that I met at FFQC 2004 are alive and well. Up here in the N'oth, we've been doing what we can with contributions to the Red Cross, etc. Two 40 foot trailers left from Montpelier, VT alone with water, food and the basic necessities as well as many others from throughout the state. Whenever the event happens, I'll be there with the Boxer, even if I have to tow down in 4WD!! Our hearts and prayers are with y'all...John Peterson
Glad everyone is safe. Richard was telling me about some interesting situations you had to avoid while on the Vespa!
This settles my heart to know all is well... Please let me know and the rest of us at the RANCH can help -a
