Ouch! The short answer, as you of course already know, is very, very few...... We know The Old Man hated the garagisti, but they've *always* been a part of F1, and I hope that never changes - The big manufacturers come and go at the whim of their boards, F1 teams need motors, and today Ferrari, Renault and Merc are happy to supply them. Long may it continue! Cheers, Ian
Zingggg! There were a few good English engines in there that won championships and without which F1 would not have existed. That damned Double Four Valve....
Wow!.... I don't care what color you bleed or where your loyalties lie - That's a mighty impressive endorsement of British F1! +1 As much as I love the V10's, the DFV, on a cold morning, on the overrun remains one of my favorite soundtracks Cheers, Ian PS - While RBR runs with an Austrian license, they too are based in the UK.....
+1 indeed. Fair enough - Dieter is Austrian after all. - Merc is also UK based I believe [Obviously running a German license] - Lotus - UK, Malaysian license (?) - Virgin - UK, but dunno their license? - Force India ? Cheers, Ian
Renault are UK based and registered. As far as I can see Force India are Indian and Virgin are Russian(*) (*) That's Russian, not Rushin'
I thought Hamilton was Brazilian with Brazil's yellow flag on his helmet??!! Any which way you slice it... Ferrari has more championships... 1 team against British nepotism in F1!
LOL.. Well you like Brit humour.. Am I jumping the gun Is, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation.
That 14 WDCs won by 10 different people from Great Britain seems to imply to me a larger supply of good drivers rather than better driver's in general.....
