As many have said when I voiced my initial ambivalence re the F1 on my 430, all it takes is a bit of seat time. Yes, F1 and I have bonded. Not sure if it learned me, or I it. But much smoother now. Despite some gremlins in 1st in downhill situations, no regrets re F1 over 3-pedals. F1 is a mighty impressive technical achievement. And imo fits the character of the car.

Also, decided to leave exhaust valve connected (stock config.) Better sound overall. Feels like slightly better off the line response also, but not 100% sure about that.

I was showing my daughter how to get ready for her first drive of the F1 430 and demonstrated the auto position button as that is what she is licenced for.

The gear changes in the auto mode really slur into gear especially when you drive it mildly.
You are expecting the car to change and it takes forever to do so when it's ready.
To me it feels like driving a manual car with dodgey slipping clutch on the way out.

Switch the auto off and activate paddle change and you have a totally different car and you'd never go back.

Glad you have become one with it as it does take some seat time for sure...couldn't agree more on that.

I love the F1...it's much better than the SMG 3 in my M6. So much more drivable in traffic, shifts quicker and nowhere near as harsh. Only time I hit the auto button is...wait...I don't use it at all!
