We look for cars and end up in a car show!!

Today was an interesting day to say the least! I loaded up the family for a trip to the Promenade Mall in Bolingbrook for a Porsche show. As we pull up to the entrance, the people blocking the inner area off wave us in. We pull in and I ask where to park. The nice folks say that I can park in the show, I just have to pay for registration. Well once I find out the registration goes to Toys for Tots, we're in! I get to park my Porsche in with all of the others and wham!, I'm in a car show!!! It was a great day with great cars and I got to meet some new friends in the Porsche Club of America (Chicago Region). I know this is the Ferrari site, but car folks are car folks! We spent the whole day with great cars, shopping (my wife and daughter were thrilled........selling point, you know!, and a great lunch at the Bass Pro Shops restaurant. It was a huge stress relief after losing my dad and putting our dog to sleep in less than 2 weeks.

Glad you and the kids found sunshine in the clouds of late.

Reverse the situation, whereby you'd have gone to be in, but they wouldn't let you . . .

Easy.......I would have parked in the general parking and worried about door dingers for 2 hours, my wife and daughter would have gotten in some super-shopping and when we got home so fast we could have sat around asking "what are we gonna do today"!!!! LOL

 

All I know is your kids are much cooler than I was at their age, and mischievous grins are apparently genetic.
