Hello everyone, I would like to ask if there are any member's/business owners who would be interested in helping our cause. As some of you know I'm currently a cadet/student at UHD's Criminal Justice Training Center persueing a career in law enforcement. The CJTC has a charitable cause they persue every year and my class has one certain charity we truelly hold dear and it is: http://www.searchhomeless.org/programs_htt.shtml . One of the fuctions of this charity is to offer job training to those parents who have fallen on hard times but want to work and while the parents are obtaining their training their children are cared for. The true hardship is that these family's are still homeless so after their daily training they still do not have a roof over their head and are subjected to the elements. Bass Pro Shops made donations a few years ago but after speaking with my contact at the Bass Pro I worked for she told me that the request should be made atleast 60 days prior to the deadline for the donation. Bottom line is we need 40 youth sleeping bags asap, not the slumber party type either, so the children will atleast stay warm while sleeping outside. I can and will supply a formal letterhead and the donation will be a 100% charitable tax write off. I can supply any other contact info needed to insure that this is a legitimate request and cause.
