Have any of you had issues with weak lights on your FF both in high and low beam?

My FF lights seem really weak compared to my Porsche 991.

TT, you have driven yours more than most, have you tried to do anything to improve the situation or you just get used to it, i.e. Candles in jam jars

I have the AFS system and find them to be equivalent just about to my S cabriolet? And those are amazing

Yes, my lights are awful. I have a 2015. Thought about having it checked but I guess I am not the only with issues.

Maybe we could just replace the OEM hid bulbs with more powerful units?

I have a 2016 FF, the headlights leave some to ask for. I even complained, just to be told that is what it is. After that I started to clean the headlights more frequent, and it clearly helps - but no, not impressed at all.

Are the AFS headlights any brighter than the basic ones?

So the pattern is fine, just the light output that is the problem?

I think the AFS headlights just mean they turn side to side to illuminate the turn.

Now the FF has Xenon based lamps. There is not a "bulb" at all - it's far more complicated with ballast and stuff (I will not go into the electric details). So no, no one will be able to exchange to more powerful "bulbs". It is what it is - no more, no less. Clean the headlights surface ;-)

The lights on my 599 left much to be desired and I was considering having a local shop build me some extra LED based lights - but I decided against it as I didn't drive much at night. I find the lights on my F12 which replaced the 599 to be much better and almost on par with my BMW 750.

Do you mean the inside surface?

No the outer side of the headlights. They are great in collection dust and stuff that does stop the light from coming out so to speak. So keep the headlights outer surface clean, all the time, and it is better - but it will never be lika a BMWs headlights....
