    Hi All,

I just got this email and from the wording, I'm getting the feeling that a lot of people were fed up with the last couple of years' handling of the traffic situation. And maybe attendance is low this year? Check it out:

well last year the featured car was the dino and also concorso coincided with fca's national meet,so i would expect fewer ferraris this year but the event has been taken over by someone else from last year and they assure us a smoother run event. last year parking and getting in SUCKED, so at the very least we can hope to get in before our car overheats or runs out of gas in line. you still are not going to so many f cars in one spot anywhere else, enough reason for me.

Crazy that that Stradivarius violin is worth just as much, if not more than many of the cars that will be there.

I hate large crowds. The only one I would deal with is the Reno Air Races. Management of large events usualy thinks about traffic last!

It looks like the number of Ferraris is down about 50% from last year. They posted some bogus "privacy" concern as an excuse for not listing all of the exhibitors. I am not going this year. This is the second year of new ownership, not the first. We were promised that all of the traffic problems would be solved last year. They were not solved by a longshot. I got there SUPER early---around 7am and still had to wait in a 1/4 mile line. Way better than the 4 mile line of the prior year, but still too long. Then there was no coffee and no pastries. Yeah, I know. "Booh, hooh." Still, what was promised was not delivered. Exotic car owners are used to better than average service in their daily lives and blank stares when coffee is not available is not what we expect. It hasn't been great since Quail and although I suspect those days will never return, I await reports from this year and hope that they finally get their act together and I will exitedly return to this event.

I'll eventually go back to Concorso, but only after I hear of people's experiences with this year's show.

I was there last year and I stayed in Marina, which is only about 5 min's up the road from there, but it took me over an hour just to get in! I saw three V-12 Ferraris on the side of the road with their hoods open - not very confidence-inspiring for me with my mid-engined 308! In any case, I survived the drive in without incident and enjoyed the rest of the day and show.

My only wish is that if it were spread over the weekend, or at least Thurs/Fri, because I never got the chance to see it all. There's just too much to see in one day.

I'll be there, my tickets arrived last week, along with my tickets for the Historics. Screw the traffic - there is absolutly no where else where you can see so many fantastic Italian cars at one time.

Since only half of the people will be there this year, the traffic wont be a problem, and it wiil be deemed "problem solved". Untill next year when everyone returns in full force. DOH!!!

I shipped my car all the way from Massachusetts. Paid for premium passes. Got an early start and had to wait in a long, long line. When I finally got to the exhibit area I was told that there were no more spaces available. How could that be? Did they not count all of the entry forms and accompanying checks?

Our car was guided through the facility by kids...No lie, 12 year olds!-who didn't have a clue about where we were supposed to go. Piss poor in my opinion. I too will not be back until the goofs that currently run it (for profit, I might add) are run out.

    Ciao

I did the Concorso several times in the past and this year I plan to exhibit the F40LM. Last year was a mess because of the national meet, and that's why I didn't go. I knew that traffic would have been a nightmare.
This year should be like in the past, just enough good cars to make the show a good one. Just remember how it was in Carmel Valey !!!
I look forward to see a bunch of chatters during the Concorso
