Could someone please post pictures of what weather stripping is supposed to look like on a 1974 US Dino 246 GTS - I can't figure out if my car is missing rubber on the sides of the roof and behind the seats.

    Thanks in advance
    Eugene (aka newbie Dino owner)

I just happen to be replacing the seals on my roof panel. The panel has a custom molded seal with a drop-down shape at the front and a curved recess at the back end. There is a right hand and a left hand seal with grooves that fit over a flange on the roof panel. I bought mine from the manufacturer in Italy. Sorry for the cell phone photo, but I was just walking by the car. You can see how my original seals are breaking down at that special forward forward shape.

Daryl - thank you! Can I trouble you for a picture of the vertical panels behind the doors too? It seems that my car is missing the strips altogether (which I suspected). Could you also let me know who the manufacturer is (PM or public - whatever you prefer).

    Thank you very much!

Here is a somewhat better shot of the front portion of the edge seal. The other shots show the rear seal. It is one piece that starts at the bottom of the window jamb and runs up and all along the top, then back down to the bottom of the opposite window jamb. The window glass runs up and down against this seal and the rear edge of the roof panel sits on top of it. The seal is compressed when the roof panel is latched down. My rear seal is fine, but I purchased the replacement roof edge seals from Cicognani in Italy. You can see their products and order directly from their web page:

I just clicked that link I gave you and for some reason the roof edge seals don't show up on their list. If you go the the product search box and key in their product ID they will show up. That number is 16326162.

    Daryl -

Thank you very much! I just spent a lot of time researching their website. It seems that there is another part that is needed for the roof: 16326164. I am not sure whether it is in addition to 16326162 or instead of it.

I also can't seem to figure out which part is the long rear seal - is it 16326163?

I would appreciate any guidance on both issues.

    Thanks
    Eugene
