This is a plea from the UK where our weather forecasters have such lovely phrases as "mainly dry with occasional showers" or "isolated showers mainly in the east".
I like to go to various meets etc and leave the hood down, mainly because it is such a pain to lower it and raise it plus attach the cover each time a grey cloud appears. I was recently at a meet where it started spitting rain, but by the time the mechanism had moved the seats and closed the hood etc etc the inside was getting pretty wet.
I've seen on these pages a clip over cover for a spider - but this seems to be mainly aimed at preventing sun damage and pilferers. Has anyone come across a clip over cover that would actually keep out a shower of rain that can be easily fitted/removed?

    Hi Andrew,

    Hank Garfield here (Spider Top).......

I think the one key word here, regardless of what kind of waterproof material is used, is "pooling". Now if you don't mind your car looking like a circus tent, I'm working on a little accessory center pole so that even my ultra lightweight Spider Top can keep the rain out of your car. Stay tuned:)

    Cheers, Hank

Would be keen to see pics once you have the prototype. Key to me is how long it would take to assemble.
The alternative is to park it under a gezebo, but then I start to question the meaning of life, etc

Ittakes me 20 to 45 seconds to put mine on, depending on the wind.
