A while back I was looking for fitted floor mats for my 360 so I didn't have to wear out the $300 OEM mats. Checked with WeatherTech and was shocked that rubber floor mats were over $300 my car. Blew it off and made my own.

Anyway, I just checked on them again but looked at a 430 instead. I was shocked again...the floor mats for a F430 were...wait for it....$430! Checked on mats again for my 360 and they are....yup....$360! Did some more checking.....but they didn't have any for my F40 though....

How much for a 246 Dino?

Or better yet, a BMW 1 series? :)

Yeah. Same reason why I didn't get them for my old Audi 5000.

Thats how they fund the "WeatherTech" series. Charge you a lot of money for a product.
Look at "Red Bull" $2.00 - $2.50 retail product costing what? 25 cents?

I can not understand weather tech business. They have absolutely huge advertising. Billboards in manhattan?! Sponser a race series. All on floor mats? Reminds me of the old snl skit about a scotch tape store in the mall. In 40 yrs of car obsession, ive bought exactly 4 pairs of aftermarket floor mats. How do you become industrialist off that?

Oh, he's (David MacNeal) for real. I go past his massive building in Bolingbrook frequently. He's built a brand that people now associate with quality and American built.

I have several cars and they don't have floor mats for any of them. They look great in the advertisements and I wound get some but they aren't available.

I have them in a 2014 Mercedes ML550, a 2008 Maserati, and a Tahoe - can't remember what they cost but not as much as above - they fit perfectly

I've had a few sets and they've been great.

That said I agree with the above, not sure how it's such a huge business (or at least how they spend so much on marketing).

They are ubiquitous across middle America. Think about how many hundreds of millions of vehicles are in the USA. Think about how many are in areas with rain and snow.

    I can see this working.

Maybe a decade or so ago his son (if memory serves) joined FChat and for whatever reason contacted me regarding where to buy an Enzo. I referred them to someone else and don't recall ever hearing any more of it. I seem to recall the username being something MacNeal if anybody is inclined to go look through the member list.

WeatherTech also has a large OEM side.

David is a very significant supporter of the Ferrari Club of America. Has some spectacular Ferraris too.

We have had several of the mats for the regular cars. Great product.

I don't get the business model either. They must be supplying OEM products as well, but I would think the margins on those would be paper thin.
