I just saw the SpeedTV replay of the Hockenheim GP, and they commented that Mark Webber's BMW "was running, but not classified". I thought you were "not classified" if you retired from the race? Webber didn't "retire", he just spent several laps making some sort of repairs. Then when Montiero came back out right at the end, after making repairs, they said "he will keep his rookie streak of being classified at the end of 12 races together". He spent several laps in the pits after his "brain fart" with Villenueve, so he should have been in the same situation as Webber, correct?

Sorry, I'm not up on my F1 rules, and its been confusing me all night since they said that. One of those stupid things that you keep thinking about as you try to go to sleep, I guess.

To classify at the race results driver must complete at least 75% af the laps that winner completed. Webber probably didn't do so at Hockenheim, but Monteiro did.
