I am looking for suggestions for the best Southern (or Northern) California experts on tuning and rebuilding side draft and down draft vintage Webers. Additionally, I need a new resource for Borrani repairs (curb rash) on alloys and wires. All the gurus I knew 10 years ago are gone. Thank you for any and all suggestions.

There is a Borrani place on Lincoln Blvd. not to far from in Santa Monica / West LA area. I don't know their number. Hopefully someone here can be of better help.

I believe that it is located south of Rose Ave in Venice/ Santa Monica before you get to Venice Blvd... on the east side of the street. I hope that it is still there, because it has been around since the early 70's.

    Good luck.

He did superb work and was the guy I used last on several sets. The shop was on Lincoln Boulevard and the building is still there. Many collectors had him do their wheels, from Alfas and Astons to Pegaso. In fact, he still has one set of my 3-piece wheels. If anyone knows where James is, please advise. He moved away over a year ago, possibly two. I had a home number, afterwards, but it will take months to locate.

My 512BB carbs are at Pierce Manifolds now. I have high hopes.

They are difficult to schedule, though. We sent the carbs down there last week, but they won't be done until the end of May.

I have to vouch for James' work on Borrani's. He was heavily involved with Borrani decades ago and a master at a lost art. A shame if he moved away.
