2024 24 HOURS OF LE MANS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE LMGT3 CATEGORY https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/2024-24-hours-of-le-mans-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-lmgt-3-category-58682
Usually the website of the major French daily sport paper l'equipe (the team) has a live tv broadcast through the entire race. If it is only for France -I am in France so not sure if it is accessible to viewers outside the country- cheat via a VPN. You can mute it and listen to radio Le Mans at the same time (if you don't mind horrible English cockney accents :-( ), that way you are sorted.
If your cable provider has Motortrend TV (Spectrum here in central Florida does) they are broadcasting the entire 24 hours live. They usually pick up and rebroadcast the Eurosport feed. I have my DVR set to record it so that I can watch for a while, pause, go for a pee break, cook dinner, take a nap, and always pick up right where I left off. I stopped trying to stay up and watch the whole thing live a few years ago. These days it usually takes me till Tuesday to see the finish.
I just cancelled my slingtv sub...it was my only motortrend TV link. Fortunately it'll continue till 6/28 before shutting off (so i should be good this year)... I have discovery+ which umbrella'd motortrend+ which used to have live events....but discovery moved those to MAX as long as you have MAX AND the sports add on...f'ing sports add ons....killing me. I dropped sling basically because I was using it for F1 events....but ESPN this weekend is only showing F1 up to the race on ESPNU and ESPNEWS...which...would you believe it...are part of the sports add on package.... If i'm paying $70 for a streaming service, i might as well just have cable. F1TVPro is $7/mo...and i'm keeping discovery+ for the time being... I'll see what happens next year when that sub runs out...
I went with F1 TV a couple of years ago and love it. I will still watch the Sky F1 Pre Race if it’s on a channel I get, because they do have a lot of fun events with the drivers. (Natalie Pinkham swearing at Lando Norris in the back roads around Silverstone makes me chuckle to this day.) Other than that, I prefer F1TV. They have more, and more in depth coverage.
Today is the test day, they have sunny weather, no incidents this morning, PM session coming up. Some like Grosjean, Palou etc will hightail it from Elkhart lake straight to Le Mans today after the Indycar race.
Lets hope Ferrari can get some valuable data as the Drivers we worried about BOP they were given this year. Specially the one for over 250kmh
Interesting How Porsche has been given a very soft BOP specially since that have a good lead and are doing great in WEC this year
I´d be surprised (even disappointed) if they allowed a Daytona prototype to win. I still think that they´ll swing the BOP towards Toyota for and after Le mans, or they could face a mutiny.
Worst fears. https://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/floury-if-porsche-loses-they-will-have-done-a-bad-job/
Ugh..Toyota needs to STFU Not a fan of BoP. But I am even less of a fan of reading about teams continually bitching about it.
Well, everybody does it, and to be honest Toyota has more reasons for it after what happened in 2023.
Why ? The ACO and IMSA are supposed to have reached parity, so that their cars can win in each other series. The problem if that LMH teams don't enter IMSA race, and then are upset when a LMhD car with a WEC race !!!
Teams are not supposed to discuss BOP issues in public !! I expect Toyota will be fined for that outburst.
Floury phrased his statement well, he didn´t criticize the BOP directly. Porsche and Peugeot have been more obvious in the past and didn´t get any penalty. Everybody knows that the king is naked, so punishing Toyota for that would be adding insult to injury.
