Porsche didn't execute during the race. They have the most well rounded car, but they just can't get it together for Le Mans these past two years. Reminds me of Peugeot during the 2000's.
Going in, I didn't think they were going to win. between the heartbreak for the 83 and the pace porsche should have had. If it had been a dry race, it would have been vastly different.... 4 hours of safety car.... sjd
For the Ferrari team to take such a ballsy strategy when an anvil fell out of the sky in the way of an open door, really speaks to what a great race team they've got.
The 24 Hours Of Le Mans is the greatest race in the world these days. It truly lived up to the hype this year. If you know where there's better racing than that, let me know where it is!
