would you please elaborate?

 

ok i got it working ...and it seems ok ...it just takes a while to get you position locked down then it follows ok ......its takes a few mins to get your position then it locks on to you ,simple ....i need to get some more info for my area ( maps maby ) but it showed all the major roads and areas .....but there is no maps to DL yet...........

 

dload?? so it's not like a normal GPS unit that comes with inbuilt maps and software that talks to you giving you directions???

 

it has maps already ...there is a route plotter ...but there isnt a voice (well i havnt found it yet ) there are DL for aditional info on areas ......the maps are very basic but have all the airports and other key locations already builts in .....you are supposed to be able to Dl stuff like restraunt locations and business locations etc but i havnt found that sofware yet

 

just came back from emerald. you mine boys sure know how to spend money on holdens and fords...

ive had the N95 for 2 months, the best maps to load into for NZ is navman, they are very detailed, i used the nav to take me to work just after i got it, its great, i purposely missed a turn and it told me i had missed it and to take the next turn, it then replotted the directions. the voice is very clear and easy to understand and provides plenty of warning before making the next turn. very cool toy!

 

ok..that's what i wanted to know. so it's a real inbuilt GPS...just needs independent maps, but uses inbuilt software or runs software of map provider?

 

does it tell you when to make a ewe turn ?

 

no ewe turn just left and right......

yeah mate, extenders fixed the engine problem and new 16" wheels and Michys fixed the other issue with getting TRX tyres

the car is running "sweet", read that in a PPI once sounded very technical

coming south next month, must catch up

 

i agree very nice toy ...still working the gps out a bit..... but the camera is awsome.....

 

so where can you download maps ...navman ???

navman is a company in NZ that has GPS systems for cars etc, not sure if you can down load the files from the net (i used the software that came with the gps units we use at work), but google "navmann" and you should find there site, I'm sure there are many companies in Aussie that sell software for GPS units, cant be too expensive to get some software.

last time i did a ewe turn it kicked me in the shins! lol

p.s. i have saved Ferrari in my GPS as a land mark, i called it "the holy grail"......now my phone tells me im at "the holy grail" when i arrive at F-NZ

 

you really need that n-95 pap , that phone could of taken better pics .....lol....but it was good to see you got a pic of the cheerleaders.....

 

If you would hold the camera steady it would be more clear. Try taken the pictures before you start downing alcohol for a steadier hand........
