On a serious note, wrap them tightly. Go to a medical centre as soon as you can. From memory your comms had you in Sydney. Should be no problem getting after hours help.

Cut the tip of my finger once at around this time. Kept it and it was re-attached. My finget now looks like a pen** but its there.

I shouldn't admit this but I will, I just got it.

Thanks Greg......I cut the pad of my index finger once and it got stuck back on but has no feeling in it......when I asked the doctor why, he told me the nerves were clsoe to the surface to give you the sensitivity in your fingers......made sense to me so I believed it........ya live and learn!

 

well, if you're talking tip of finger, the distance from skin to bone (where the main nerve lies) is only about 5mm, so not so deep relatively speaking. Branches do extend to skin surface (that's how you sense things in the first place) so if they are cut, it will end up feeling numb
