How can they possibly ever be worth more than you paid? Mass produced “limited edition “ surely. Poor Nicole
Just make sure you're not standing outside playing one of those for the next few days.... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-23/tropical-cyclone-nora-forms-heads-for-gulf-qld/9578004
Knowing my luck I’d strum away for 2 minutes and some deceased relative would turn up and give me a lecture about how I should be trying harder in life Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

Every guitar I own has gone up in value over the last 17 years. Some have doubled in value. Some have tripled in value. Some have quad tripled in value and more. *One example- paid $1200 for one guitar in 2011 and can sell now for $7500 or more* It is what it is mate, hard to believe I know. Some guitars in my collection are are limited edition. One is of 25, one is of 40, one is of 50 and one is of 80. The two I just ordered are not limited edition, so I don't see their values increasing over time, although not too many have been or will be ordered around the world because they are not cheap guitars to purchase. And they are not mass produced either. All the ESP Custom Shop guitars are made to order by one guitar builder from start to finish at one of the ESP factories in Japan. So prices *may* hold steady on the new purple and black one because not too many orders were placed and not too many have been delivered around the world. Only know of one purple one that was delivered last week to a mate in the US and I have only seen 4 of the new black ones made since 2016. I expect more purple ones to be ordered and made, everyone seems to love that one. Apparently no one is buying new guitars anymore. ESP doesn't make Custom Shop guitars to display and sell in shop fronts anymore so people can walk in and buy it off the shelf. If you want one, you have to place an order for one now and expect an 8 to 12 month wait for it, depending on how busy the factory is you could wait longer. If you wanted to order that White Zombie guitar it's $20K and nearly a 3 year wait for it because the airbrush artist at the factory in Japan is extremely busy. I didn't buy them to make money. I bought them to play and enjoy and I did plenty of that before the kids came along in 2012. To make money on a guitar is a bonus mate and I have been very lucky to this point, but I haven't made any money on them until I sell. And by the time it comes for me to sell them in 30 or 40 years time, I reckon they will be worth bugger all because by then Metallica and Kirk Hammett will be long gone, not relevant and no one will give two hoots about these guitars or who Kirk Hammett was. But again, doesn't bother me. I never expected them to be worth anything so I am not getting too excited. If I want to make money, now is the time to sell them for the big money people are paying for them, but my collection is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Yep every time the oldies from my Italian side of the family come around they ask me why I haven't chopped all the trees down yet.......If they lived on the property anything that moved would be extinct with a can of fly spray........

not much of a guitar collector but the only one I own is a black ibanez roadmaster II. being a back to the future movie fan its identical to the one played by Michael J Fox its in mint condition and I paid $50 for it many many years ago. Been offered $350 for it so I guess its an ok buy Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
jeez guys, those guitars are both cheap junk, as collectible as a Hyundai is in the car world. Like a Hyundai, you can make a noise on them, but not much more. Serious guitars start at around $2K for a modern then increase with age/rarity/condition. Plenty of traps for the newbie - e.g. a new made-in-Mexico Stratocaster is about $500, a made-in-USA $2500. You have to know the difference.
Haha good to know Ian looked unusual you never know I’m obviously no expert Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I would love to hear a simple tune with a $500 guitar and a $5000 guitar so I could tell the difference . Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
