Anyone going to F40 this weekend? (the following cut and pasted from FCA events site) F40 Motorsports Annual Spring Car Show and Sale Date: 05/17/08 Time: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, May 17th - This car show will be held from 9am-2pm, F40 Motorsports, 464 Portland-Cobalt Road, Portland, CT. Wayne Carini, Peter A. Lombardo and F40 Motorsports (www.f40.com) are long-time sponsors of the club, and will have some special, rare and unique Ferraris and other exotics on display from their restoration shop. According to Pete, "A buying trip to California has brought back some very rare and unique cars that will be featured, and FCA/NER regalia will be available with specials on select items. Hi Guys, Did anyone attend the open house? Any pictures? I've spoken to Peter before. I was interested in a car he had for sale. A friend of mine bought a car from him. If I would've known (earlier) he was having an open house, I would've made the trek from Virginia!! Bill
I went...only a half hour from the house. He had a magnificent 330 GTE and a well sorted 250 GTB/4. the 330 is on his site www.f40.com The 250 was listed as show only, not for sale
Great day for top down motoring and coveting of autos belonging to others. Nice mix of Fcars and others. A few photos attached. I'm strictly an "aim and shoot" photographer. Additional interesting cars were displayed in both the shop and showroom. The '76 fiberglass GTB has less than 1800 miles on it. Nice car. We filmed the event for our upcoming Discovery HD Theater series called, Chasing Classic Cars, which follows Wayne Carini as he hunts for rare and exotic cars around the world. There will be a sneak peak preview of the first four episodes starting on June 3rd, 8:00pm.
Just saw the show a few nites ago where Wayne does Monterey. Sells a Muira at Christies....good stuff enjoyed it very much. You involved with this too i presume?
