Just thought I'd share a little bit of my weekend Mondial time. Gave her a wash yesterday morning, a cool one in CT. In the sunny afternoon I headed out west of town into some forested hills, tight, curvy, undulating, and very steep, all at once. Going up the steepest parts of the steepest hills the engine sounds sublime under the added load, deeper and velvety smooth. A bit like that girl in college..the one who asked you to pull her hair, "do it right and I'll make that noise you like ". Then on the down slope, fallen leaves scattering, the brakes are fantastic. Speed to heat. While coming out of a super tight bend, WOT in 2nd, I might have hit a seep and the back stepped out for the first time, instinctively caught with a flick of opposite lock. Wife: "what was that?" "over-steer honey, perfectly normal" How can I describe the thrill? It might just be easiest to get "hooked up" to a plethysmograph then head back up into the hills, data logger running. Would a cross-plot of signal versus rpm be oversharing? ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login
