So after weighing a stock testarossa muffler then the replacement Fuchs system I decided to compare to the boxer and heres what I found. Top pic is 90 testarossa followed by the replacement fuchs. Testarossa muffler, 44 lbs Fuchs muffler, 43 lbs Next on the left is a pair of Ansa sport mufflers from my BBi, 39 lbs each! On the right beside the Ansa mufflers is the pair of koenigs from my BB, 33 lbs each Bottom is the BB/BBi OEM 4 can system. Main muffler is 27 lbs plus the resonator at 13 lbs so thats 40 lbs a side for the factory system on a 512 boxer! 80 lbs for a muffler system! I expected a bigger weight difference on the Testarossa vs the Fuchs but after seeing the boxer numbers the testarossa stuff is insignificant now. When I put the Bell single can muffler on my BB512i, while I didn't use a scale, it was lighter than just one of the two OEM Ansa mufflers.
