hello all I sold long time ago one of my 250 GT/E but could not get to the car because a lot of things block the car. so now I like to get the car out and bring it to the new owner. it is only the frame with the body, no front and no rear axle, no engine, no gearbox, no glas, no front bonnet and no trunk lid, no interieur parts. I have to get this car from my basement about 6 meter higher with a selfmade small crane. so I need the weight of this what is still there. does anybody knows this or have an idea? I guess something between 650 and 850 kg? how much is the original complete weight? in my papers it says 1.450 kg thank you for the answers
Romano, it says curb weight 1310kg in the manual. The 1450 should be max loaded? I guess if you deduct engine 250?, axles 120?, gearbox 150?, etc. your assumption should be right. But as with your assumption mine is purely a guess. All the best Christopher
the curb weight is 1450 kg ( in my "fahrzeugbrief" ), the total weight is 1.900 kg. those datas I got about 47 years ago from the swiss MFK in basel and the german TUEV accepted those datas. if they are right? I not know I would say engine 300, front axles parts with disks and calipers 80, rearaxle with disks and calipers also 80, gearbox 100, the rest 150, so all around 700 kg
This is from the official Gte manual: 1310kg empty 1695kg with 4 persons Hope it helps View attachment 2546630
are the weights for the serie 1, 2 or 3 different? but this all is not so important. I will construct a crane for max. 900 kg, so I will be on the safe side thank you cristopher
I do not think that they differ greatly. Nearly everything the same except for some small changes like rear springs/ damper setup… Should be nearly equal.
Romano, next time you need weights of individual components or sections from Daytona, I might be able to help, as I've a fairly comprehensive collection of data from them.
thank you for the offer timo but I not have a daytona. just now I only have the problem to get the car out of my basement. when I put it there the basement ceiling has not been there and I put the car with a big building crane there. now all the ceiling is finished and the crane gone. and the ceiling is not so strong to go on with a forklift. but I have an idea already. will post photos when I will do this job. may be in august?
my observation of the series 1 two and three a great deal of difference in the early and late engines cylinder heads castings Oil returns headers four sets of three instead of six into one transmission differences bearings rear axle shafts pinion shaft are larger outer axle shafts went to double row ball bearings rear hubs had heavier shafts less leaf springs with coil over shocks The list goes on the factory learned about weak points and addressed those pieces making improvements to prevent future failures of components at the same time increasing performance Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
@GSJFerrari Please see the question! The question was about overall weight and my answer was in this context! What you state is right but out of the context of the question and does not help to answer it.
