Weird acting check engine light !!??

    I dont know if im imagining things but I took my 05 f430 out today and thinking back I feel like the check engine light was on untill I put the car in gear... once going in reverse turned it off and the second time going into 1st turned it off. Once I was driving it never came on westher in Neutural, driving or in gear stopped... was this just a conicidence both times or is this a thing? Ive cold started the car before and im pretture sure the light had gone off fairly quickly after startup... any ideas?

    Probably coincidental...have you scanned to see if there are any codes in memory? How old is your battery?

    I havent scanned it, I had planned to then it went off so I assumed no problem... I put that battery in about a month ago.

    The 430 takes much longer for the CEL to turn off at start-up than the 360. If you fire up the car and start driving then it will be on as you pull-out, whether backing up or going forward, and it will extinguish while you drive off as it finishes whatever checks it does. Same with the 612...
