1986 QV While changing the clutch master cylinder I broke the brake switch - the end came off and little springs etc flew all over the place. The replacement only had two terminals. However, if I left the two little wires on the remainder of the top piece (letting it dangle), and the two big wires to the two poles on the new switch everything was fine. Then I got a four pole and here is what happened. After I wired it up and turned on the key I got a buzzing sound in the driver side rear. I now suspect it was a polarity warning or something. Then no brake or turn signals. However, if I put the small wires back on the old naked top the red lights would come on with the headlights. But the brake lights did not work. If I simply jumped the two large brake light switch connectors, the red lights would also come on. No yellow lights at all. I pulled all the fuses in the front and only the A/C was blown. Any advice would be helpful.
