Weird F1 indicator flashing!!

    Ok, just came in from a quick drive and my F1 indicator (i.e 4th gear) was flashing the gear number, instead of being constant. I changed gears and it went away.

    Any idea?

    Yes, never before. Was the FI system not fully engaged in that particular gear ??

    When the gear flashes, even Neutral, it means that the gear has not been engaged or disengaged properly. According the the owners manual, you should select Neutral first & then get into gear.

    Don't worry, it stored a trouble code. There's always a code...more than you can imagine. It keeps track of everything.
    When mine started flashing on occasion, it was time for a clutch.
    Not saying you have the same diagnosis, but if you want to find out, just connect it to an SD1/2 depending on car.
