    Hi All,

I've just bought an F430 spider, and as the car didn't come with the radio code, I set about swapping it for the Continental in the hope of also being able to stream from my phone.

Should have been a 10 minute job, I've done plenty of them before and I'm comfortable with car audio wiring. As soon as I got the Becker out, my heart sank a bit. Someone's been here before...

Looks like they've plugged in a bluetooth streaming device(?) into the back of the Becker to replace the CD multichanger input. Fair enough, but there's also some DIY wiring between wires 7 and 8 on the 'A' block (earth and switched positive).

This definitely doesn't look factory, and is a bit of a cause for concern. I wondered if anyone had any ideas, before I set about trying to undo this 'handiwork'?

I plugged the continental in briefly and it does work as expected. I'm just unsure as to why anyone would want to connect these cables together?

The Bluetooth module is a common option, whether factory or aftermarke, but my guess is the previous owner just wanted to ensure it was off when the car is off (the factory has it wired so you can use the radio when the car is off).
