The passion for the Ferrari brand started when I was 4 yrs old, but I've only been able to actually own a Ferrari since Oct 2020. I knew I would love it, but didn't honestly expect I'd get this crazy about it. Part of it, btw, is having a great online community like this one.

This 812 is my 4th Ferrari! In chronological order, I've bought (and never sold) a red 2013 458S, a 1999 yellow F355, red an F8 Tributo, and since yesterday... a grigio silverstone 2018 812SF! :D

The fact is they're all quite different to experience, which is what I love the most. A V12 was always a target for me, and I've finally made that dream come true. And I have a good feeling that this last one will become more of daily driver, although like with the others, I plan to drive it hard both in the mountain pass, as well as at the track occasionally. Time will tell...

    Feeling very thankful!

BTW, I bought it from Boardwalk Ferrari in TX. They offered me a GREAT experience, from the first request of info, to the delivery yesterday. I HIGHLY recommend them.

The car was kept in immaculate state. Kudos to the other 2 owners and to all the service providers. The only issue I have is the headlights scratches. I heard it's a common issue? Will the extended 2-yr warranty I paid for with the car cover this?

    See picture and video.

Congratulations. Yes, it is a totally different experience than the rear-engine V8 (and now, V6TT-H) models, which [kind of] justifies keeping them all!

You'll notice that the heavier weight and higher ride is more relaxed, making road trips surprisingly easy. I would not mess with the stock suspension, but I do like some more noise...

don’t know… a Ryft is, as the video says, stupid fast and stupid LOUD! :D

if I ever do something to the exhaust, it’ll probably be a novitec

Love that too, very harmonic. That's the downside to the Ryft X-pipe, it blends the sounds closer into one higher pitch. Hard to explain but it goes from sounding like a 6-note pipe organ chord down to 3-4.

Its hard to see detail on that video but wonder if that's from removal of PPF. Doesn't make sense that the painted area around the headlight didn't sustain scratches consistent with the lamps. One of the real issues with PPF is putting them on the lamps means removal destroys the optical coating that is deposited on the outer surface. The two highest rated PPF companies around here (circa 2018) stated that once PPF is applied it needs to stay on. The marks you have look like the PPF was pulled from the lamps and left a wavey pattern and no outer coating. At this point you can polish them up and maybe reapply if that's what you want.

I actually spoke to the guy that has wrapped all my cars with PPF, and he didn't mention this. I'll ask him again. He said it's a known issue with 812s...

Hey y’all, almost done with some remodeling of this amazing V12 macchina.

New PPF, ceramic coat, stripe, scrape armor, windshield protection, window tint, and wheels powder coated in satin black.

Here are some before and after shots. I have to say I questioned all this changes quite bit and hesitated because I loved the car so much. But I wanted to customize it a bit and make it more sporty while still remain elegant. To quote Clarkson… it’s absolutely, utterly mesmerizing

    Next: Capristo valve opener.
